Leading EPS packaging manufacturer, Styropack UK has appointed Carol Lunan as Works Manager at its Aberdeen site.

Carol has taken over responsibility for the manufacturing, engineering and logistics departments from Tom Falconer who is retiring after 30 years service this summer.
Carol began working for Styropack in July 1992 as a sales coordinator in the warehouse despatch office. Since then, she has worked her way up through the ranks and is the first woman in Styropack's history to be appointed Works Manager.
"I am very proud to have achieved this position," says Carol. "It's exciting to be given this opportunity and I am determined to make sure that Aberdeen is an efficient, well-run site and is fit to face the challenges of the competitive marketplace."
Carol's responsibilities include managing the 26 employees who do two shifts, five days a week; maintaining 20 machines and producing and delivering 900 tonnes of moulded EPS packaging 'just-in-time' for the fast moving fish sector.
Throughout her career with Styropack, Carol's commitment, energy and efficiency have been noted as Jason Griffiths, Manufacturing Director explains: "Carol has achieved an outstanding record of achievement throughout her time at Styropack.
"She takes on new challenges with enormous enthusiasm and I know that she is already reviewing procedures, monitoring quality standards and looking any opportunity to make improvements.
"Her outlook is refreshingly positive and I am sure that she will be a huge success in this important role."
