Our skilled design team has experience of working in a variety of sectors, producing complex or simple designs and working closely with the customer to bring them into rapid production.

We can advise you on selecting the appropriate foam to fulfil your brief at the best price.

Styropack is in the unique position of being able to offer Synbra's own specialist EPS foams, as well as the alternatives of EPP and Arcel.

Moulded foams such as EPS, and its variants developed by Synbra – HT and Shock – are all highly versatile and therefore fit for purpose for the technical requirements of the automotive sector.

EPS is durable and lightweight, offering good energy absorption and compression resistance.

HT foam can cope with high temperatures and Shock is stronger than the usual EPS whilst retaining the useful characteristics. BioFoam® is anew biologically degradable foam with similar properties to EPS.

EPP (expanded polypropylene) is mouldable foam that can be used where a material is required which can absorb repeated impacts, if offers:

Great energy absorption capacity with a very low weight: 11-80 kg/m³

Good elastic recovery behaviour when subjected to static and dynamic loads

Energy absorption that is substantially unchanged when subject to multiple impacts

Isotropic deformation behaviour, regardless of the direction of impact

    Reduced water absorption

Good temperature resistance and low thermal conductivity

    Resistance to chemicals and solvents

A positive environmental record and is recyclable in several ways
